Oligopoly, Cartels and Employment

My micro students should find this article a source of plenty of examples of things we’ve discussed lately in class: the way oligopoly works, and how cartels can be a part of oligopolists’ strategies.

Even more interesting is the idea that by raising the price of their labor, the interior designers are deliberately reducing employment in their own industry.
